Jason Gayler
Jason is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) licensed in the State of California and a Coachella Valley native. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from California State University, Fresno in 1999.
Early in his career he worked for two California accounting firms, serving real estate land development, agriculture, hotel, and municipality clients. He joined Cornerstone Developers in 2002 and assisted with the sale of the homebuilding division to Lennar Homes in late 2003 — after which he was named Vice President and Controller for Lennar's Palm Springs division.
In that role he provided corporate management and joint-venture partners with timely, accurate financial statements and reports, monthly forecasts and analysis, and annual business-plan preparation, while ensuring compliance with internal reporting requirements and company policy.

Jason returned to Cornerstone in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer, where his work includes arranging debt financing and delivering financial reporting. He brings that same controller- and CFO-level rigor to every Phoenix Rising client, large or small.
Susanna Romig
For years, Susanna worked as a loan closer and processor — sitting across from small business owners at one of the most important moments in their company's life. She saw their books up close.
The same story kept repeating. Owners who were exceptional at what they did, deeply passionate, and working hard — yet held back by financials that were incomplete, behind, or simply confusing. Good businesses missing opportunities, not because of their work, but because of their numbers.
